Meow Press was founded during the Summer of 1993 in Buffalo, New York. In six and a half years of publishing (editing, designing, printing, assembling and trimming) "in the house," the press has produced more than sixty chapbooks of poetry and prose totalling nearly 18,000 copies. The proud publisher of many internationally recognized writers, Meow Press has also participated in local literary community development projects, often linking book publication dates with conferences or readings. The books are simply designed with economically feasible production values rooted in appropriate and available technologies.
